Your chances of seeing the northern lights are great
Pick a dark spot with unobstructed views of the sky
And get lost in the magic of the auroras!
Different colours of the auroras
The most common colour of the auroras is green.
Green lights are produced when the sun's particles hit the Earth's atmosphere in altitudes of 100-300 km.
Red auroras are more uncommon and associated with intense solar activity.
Seeing blue or purple auroras is very rare.
