Three deep bays extend south from the southern parts of Verijärvi. Th eastern abay is called Haukilahti, where the rock paintings ares located. The rock is east of Korvatunturi and Pienen Paloniemi and a forest road passes by it. The rock wall is a few meters wide and the painting is located at the northern end of the part that falls into the water. The rock is fragmented and stones have fallen into the water with a red color.
The painting area has two parts. The first part is 0.8×2.0 meters in size and is located at a height of 1.4−2.2 meters above the water level of the lake. The top is a deer with a long neck and a long head looking to the right. The deer's ears are listening ahead. Below the deer are three human figures. The largest of the characters is under the protection of a moose. It is drawn in a diving position, i.e. head down. The legs pointing upwards are bent and the arms are spread out to the sides. On the right of the head is a red suit. Another human figure is located behind the hind leg, but it is badly worn. Between the people is a third figure whose limbs are divided in different directions and whose head is shaped into a full circle. There are other red colors, but no more patterns can be seen from them.
The second part of the painting area is about 8 meters to the south, about 2.5 meters above the water level. There is only a small amount of red. It seems that a large piece of the rock has been chipped away at this point.
