The Finnish Sauna Experience by Alvar Aalto

Experience Alvar Aalto's architecture and the Finnish sauna at the same time. An authentic log cabin sauna from 1937 offers soft baths and unique views of the surrounding coastal nature and the bay. During your sauna experience you can relax on the terrace and watch Alvar Aalto's Sunila factory, which has been named the most beautiful factory in the world. The sauna experience is completed with locally handmade towels, Finnish natural cosmetics and soft drinks.

The sauna at Kantola has an electric stove and shower facilities. The building also has a fireplace, a separate dressing room, a toilet and a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave.

The Sunila Pulp Mill residential area is one of a kind. Buildt in the middle of pinewoods, the housing area with white-washed walls and flat roofs looks as modern as 80 years ago when it was built. The residential area is the largest existing piece of Aalto’s architecture including the town plan, that was realized. Almost all the elements of the original plan were build.
