Authentic lakeside saunas by Lake Tuusula

There are seven saunas altogether in Krapi that can be reserved for private use. Four of them are located on the shore of Lake Tuusula.

We guarantee a warm visit to our saunas, whether you choose to go to Savusauna (‘smoke sauna’, the most traditional Finnish Sauna!), cosy Elvilä, wood-heated Janne or traditional Järvisauna (the lake sauna).

All the lake-side saunas have bath towels in them. Drinks and other food orders we charge separately.

Smoke sauna, Savusauna:

The smoke sauna is truly a Finnish gem. Whereas normal wood-heated saunas have a chimney to guide the smoke out, the smoke sauna does not have chimney at all. Yes, the smoke actually lingers in the room for the whole time while the sauna is heating up for 5-8 hours, just like it has been done for thousands of years in Finland!

Lake sauna, Järvisauna:

The sauna has two changing rooms with refrigerators for beverages and sauna areas, a large and small sauna. The fireplace room is located on the larger sauna’s side. Sauna has a covered terrace, two piers and a small sandy beach.

Elvilä sauna:

The sauna, the living room with a fireplace and terrace creates a lovely setting for a sauna experience. The terrace built overlooks Lake Tuusula and has a wonderful view over the whole lake.

Janne's Sauna:

Janne’s sauna pays homage to the Finnish National Composer, Jean Sibelius. This sauna is situated in the close vicinity of Elvilä Cabin and is often reserved in unison to this accommodation.

Running water comes from a tap, but there is no actual shower. Janne’s sauna is a traditional, Finnish cottage sauna with a wood-heated stove located right beside the lake.
