Aarnikämppä is a traditional log-built wilderness cabin in the primeval forest of the Kylmäluoma trekking area on the northern shore of Lake Kylmäluomajärvi. The cabin has beds for 6 people.
The cabin has a living room, kitchenette and sleeping chamber. There are two bunk beds in the living room and one bunk bed in the sleeping room.
The cabin is heated with a wood-burning stove. The kitchenette has a two-plate gas stove (no oven). There is no electricity in the cottage, candles can be used for lighting. Cutlery, cooking utensils, blankets and pillows are included. Guests must bring their own sheets and towels (not available for rent).
Next to the cabin there is a small cellar with a door. Household water is carried from the lake, drinking water is brought in. Lake water is not examined annually, so we recommend boiling it before using it as drinking water.
There is a wood-heated sauna in the same building, and the sauna water is heated in a water cauldron.
There are no neighbors. On the shore of the lake there is a pier and the shore is suitable for swimming. There are also a rowing boat and life jackets, a campfire site and smoking equipment on the shore.
Pets are allowed, and there is also a doghouse in the yard.
Wilderness cabins are best suited as a base camp for fishing, hiking or hunting trips. The equipment and standard of wilderness cabins is often more modest than other holiday cottages. The property is not preheated before the start of the reservation. The customer takes care of the cleaning of the cabin during and after the holiday.
You can reach the cottage by car in summer, and in winter Aarnikämpä is about 10 km by ski or snowmobile.
