Snowshoeing with SeastarEvents in Kotkatharju Outdoor Recreation Area, Northern Savo

Kotkatharju outdoor recreation area is located less than three kilometers from Joroinen church village and highway 5. The area is a valuable whole with its natural diversity, and the varied terrain with its marked outdoor trails also makes it great for snowshoeing.

Snowshoeing is a fun winter sport suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, which can be practiced almost anywhere.

We gather at the parking lot of the Kotkatharju outdoor recreation area, from where we set off at a leisurely pace after a short information on the equipment. The route runs through varied and beautiful winter landscape.

You need outdoor clothes suitable for the weather, something to drink and sturdy winter shoes.

Location: Kotkatlahdentie 186, 79600 Joroinen

Price: 450 eur including 1-6 persons, additional persons 20 eur/person. Price includes guide services, snowshoes and poles for the duration of the event, coffee/tea made over a campfire and self-fried sausages.

Group size: 1 - 10 persons.

Our snowshoe trips can be booked for the period between 1 December 2024 and 30 April 2025 (depending on the snow situation) and all our trips are also excellent for first-timers!
