Sámi Culture and Reindeer Herding

Visit to a local reindeer farm to meet a Sámi herder whose ancestors have been herding reindeer for centuries in Kilpisjärvi region. After meeting and feeding the reindeer outside, it is time to enter the barn, where we sit by a fireplace and have hot drinks. You will learn various aspects of traditional Sámi culture, like yearly cycle of reindeer herding, customs and clothing. Includes guiding, transportation, over coat, hot drink, pastry.
