Brewery Restaurant Koulu

Did you know that "Koulu" means school in Finnish? This unique restaurant actually used to be a school for nearly a hundred years, then turned into a brewery restaurant and function rooms.

Our Brewery Pub and Wine room are relaxed hangout places for the locals and tourists alike. We are Finland’s largest brewery restaurant by space with an annual beer production of about 100 000 litres.

The attraction is the brewery’s production advices and on weekdays you can see our brewer, Johan, in action. All our beers and ciders on tap are brewed in the premises. We have a full-service bar with one of the city’s most comprehensive selection of whisky. Our bartenders are also happy to make you a cocktail or mocktail. At our Wine room, we have a wine list with wide range of quality wines. When unable to decide what to have, you can order a tasting set with 4 different beers or wines to taste a little bit of everything.

With the drinks, you can also enjoy our tasty food. At the Brewery Restaurant Koulu, you can enjoy a delicious lunch buffet or indulge your taste buds with the á la carte menu. The whole family is welcome! We also serve menus and buffet tables at our private function rooms which are perfect for private and company events, from family parties to a conference up to a 1500 hundred persons. Here you can have a party or a meeting at venue with personality and unique atmosphere.

At summer time, we have a large terrace, a real relaxed oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustleof the city. We serve our beer and ciders, other drinks and delicious food from our summer Grill and kiosk. Our terrace is an easy-going place for the whole family!
