Paavola's Holiday Homes

Paavola's Holiday Homes are situated on the shores of the Lake Pielinen 12 km from the centre of Nurmes. We have five unique, homely and high-quality holiday cottages with a quality classification from Lomarengas Ltd (Mustonen's holiday cabins). Each holiday home has its own beach, boat, pier, outdoor barbecue, fireplace, sauna, garden furniture and swings and places for sandbox games for children.

The Bomba house and Karelian village, spa services and a golf course are located nearby. The Lake Pielinen and the nature and countryside of North Karelia with its birds and wildlife lie right in the immediate vicinity of our cabins. If fishing is your passion, marvelous Lake Pielinen invites you to its waters. For a catch Pielinen offers perch, pike and pike perch.

For those who like trips into nature, the nearby hills of Riuttavaara, Kohtavaara and Pyssyvaara have marked paths for hiking or for berry- or mushroom-picking trips. For picnics and spending evenings, KolvanVelhon Kota -hut is available to all holiday guests. In the winter, ski tracks start from right around the cabins and connect to the city's ski track network, the forests and the frozen surface of the Lake Pielinen. There are also sled routes nearby.
