The Kovero Crown Forest Cottage was established in 1859. The cottage became independent only in 1931. Kovero experienced its golden age before World War II. After the war years, the management of the farm gradually declined, and the property was eventually returned to the state in 1970. Today, the Kovero heritage farm is part of the Seitseminen National Park and one of its most popular visitor attractions.
The farm has since been restored to reflect the 1930's horse farming style and is maintained using traditional methods. Life at Kovero was hard and filled with daily work to make a living and take care of the buildings, although there were always celebrations from time to time. Despite everything, life was still considered good.
Come with your family, friends, or work group to experience the life of the Kovero cottage inhabitants in Seitseminen. After hearing Kovero's story, you will understand what life was like without electricity and machines.
