Saimaa Geopark site Karihiekka Beach and Outcrops

This beautiful peninsula on the clear-water ridge of Luonteri is one of Juva's Saimaa Geopark sites, a popular beach and excursion harbour.

Karihiekka is located close to the Luonteri Nature Reserve, and the route to the beach passes through the protected areas. In addition to the beautiful scenery, Luonteri offers clean and clear waters. Karihiekka is one of the most popular beaches in Juva. The Saimaa Geopark information sign is located near the beach.

Karihiekka excursion harbour

The Karihiekka excursion harbour has a pier that is also accessible by large boats. The harbour is open to westerly winds. Facilities at Karihiekka harbour include a barbecue shelter, a waste disposal point, a toilet and a septic tank. An information board for the area is located at the marina.
