The Kotka Coast Guard Station operated in Pookinmäki for 70 years before moving to new premises.
Now ordinary people have the opportunity to spend a few nights in this unusual building. You can use the shared kitchen and lounge where the coast guards have worked, studied, eaten, lived and spent weekdays.
From the upper floors there is a magnificent view of the sea, from where every day several small and large ships, sailboats and other different boats pass by us. From the binoculars, you can better view and explore the nearest islands and transient ships. As well as also to meet the magnificent sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand.
Guest facilities include free parking, a fully equipped communal kitchen and dining area for about 20 people, and a lounge.
The Gasthaus has a sauna designed for a larger group and there is a barbecue area in the yard.
