Located by the beautiful Lake Päijänne and just 15 minute drive from Jyväskylä, Savutuvan Apaja is a haven for a feel of the days of the old. Savutuvan Apaja is home to 33 traditional old wooden houses that stand tribute to the craftsmanship of our ancestors.
Our exquisite dining halls and meeting facilities made of wood and bedrock echo the sounds, sights and delights of days past and offer an intriguing visit to a time and place long since gone.

Private restaurant on the shore of Lake Päijänne

Our Chef de Cuisine’s unique creation combines Finnish nature and waters as we approach the lake towards the Finnish forest and mental landscape. From there, our story continues its journey towards flat fields and rocky pasture. For dessert, we enjoy the flavors offered by the Apaja backyard.
