Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna, Kouvola is an all-round city hotel suitable for all kinds of events. In addition to our excellent staff, the Frans & Rose bistro, three saunas and hot tubs, and a gym are in your service. Vaakuna's meeting and event facilities are the most adaptable in the city.

Kouvola is full of experiences. For example, you must visit the nature destinations of the magnificent Kymijoki river, the majestic Repovesi Natural Park and the charming Arboretum Mustila! For a fun and thrilling summer's day, head to the Tykkimäki Amusement Park or Aquapark, or the Actionpark that is open all year round. Currently, we have renovated all of Vaakuna's facilities in 2020-2021. The renewal of hotel rooms has drawn inspiration from the local area, and the themes focus on the northern Kymenlaakso region. The Pentik-themed rooms honour the legacy of Anu Pentik, a native of the nearby town of Kuusankoski, we brought nature inside the hotel's Repovesi rooms, and in the Tykkimäki rooms, our guests are welcomed by the Endeavour ride's silhouette.
