Little Bear's winter trail - snowshoe excursion in Oulanka National Park

From 130 €
Duration 6 hours

The Pieni Karhunkierros Trail (Little Bear's Trail)  takes us to the southernmost part of Oulanka National Park. On this scenic day trail, you can admire the beautiful wilderness of Oulanka: the icy, gushing rapids, the steep snowy cliffs, and the sheltered forests. Little Bear's Trail follows its big brother Big Bear's trail and shows you the best spots in the park. The snowshoe trail follows the shore of the river and goes to the middle of the wintery forest at times. Halfway we’ll put up a campfire and have a trail meal by the fire. With good luck, the Siberian Jays may come and greet us or we see otters playing on riverbanks. Remember your camera!

The length of snowshoe walking is 10 km and with transfers, the tour takes about 6 hours. The trail is moderate and suitable for everyone with the normal condition and who is able to walk the same distance. There is one rather steep part, but we take it slowly and carefully. We cross two suspension bridges along the walk.

This tour is private, exclusively for you and your family or friends. Ask about other departure times as well.
