Sailing Ship m/aux Svanhild

A genuine old-time sailing ship Svanhild provides an ideal setting and an unforgettable experience in the heart of Helsinki for your private or company events like birthdays, weddings, family celebrations, recreation days, client events, evening gatherings and even for holiday cruises from a few days up to few weeks. During the sailing, the guests will have the opportunity to participate in all activities on board, from hoisting and trimming sails to navigating and steering the ship.

Docking at a nearby island or anchoring at a sheltered creek, enjoying nautical cuisine from the galley and dipping in the sea after sauna will make your event perfect!

Svanhild was built in Grännes, Finland, in 1948 for timber freight traffic around the Baltic Sea. The current owner acquired Svanhild in 1972, the ship’s cargo hold was transformed into a recreational space, and new masts and rigging were constructed according to the ship’s original model. Renovations were continued in 2006 when Svanhild received a new keel and the ship’s technical systems and interior fixtures were renewed.

Svanhild is suited for groups of up to 60 people.The ship is equipped with seven 2-3-person cabins, accommodating up to 20 people.
