Forest and archipelago safari

This safari takes you to the backcountry of Kalajoki Sand Dunes and you get to discover the forest and archipelago

surrounding the Sand Dunes. The snowmobiles are an easy vehicle to ride, and children join in seated in a sledge pulled

by the snowmobiles. We do not recommend children under 6 yrs. to join this safari.

Siiponjoki's idyllic, rolling terrain also creates challenges for sledders. The safari takes you along the canvas terrain to

Särkijärvi's house, from where the journey continues along the banks of Siiponjoki to Pleuna's laavu or Loukka's house.

We stop there for a snack and some time by a campfire before heading for Rahja archipelago and returning to Kalajoki

Sand Dunes. In Rahja we will drive along the islands and hear some stories about the land rise of the area. The return

trip is driven through the Rahja archipelago or via the forest, depending on prevailing weather conditions.
