The traditional wood-heated sauna on the Ounasjoki riverbank

The traditional sauna on the Ounasjoki riverbank offers a sauna experience in the rustic surroundings of the Elves’ Experience Village.

The traditional riverside sauna was made of logs and this one was originally an old lumberjacks’ hut. The sauna benches can seat up to 15 bathers at a time, and the large wood-heated stove releases a mild heat. The cold river water, the “hot spring” spa pool, fresh air outdoors, and the warm and massaging showers create the perfect relaxation combination.
